5 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Chevy Lineup

06 (1)

Chevy Safety Assist is a range of advanced safety systems available in every Chevy. It includes six features, with additional features as standard or available in different Chevy models. These systems help to protect you on the road by identifying potential dangers and warning you. As your local Chevy dealership, we want to tell you about some of these 2025 Chevy safety features.

From Your Chevy Dealership: 5 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Chevy Lineup

IntelliBeam

When driving at night, high beams make driving safer as they allow you to see other vehicles, pedestrians, or potential obstacles. Unfortunately, the high beam angle means they can temporarily blind drivers in front of you or headed in your direction. While you can switch to low beams, this requires taking your eyes off the road, which could lead to an accident.

This system uses sensors to detect lights ahead. It automatically switches to low beams until the light source has disappeared, then switches back to high beams again.

Following Distance Indicator

The closer you are to another vehicle, the greater the chance of an accident if the driver ahead does something unexpected. It can often be difficult to realize you're too close, and this system helps you determine if you need to slow down to increase the following distance. It uses radar to measure the distance between your front bumper and the rear bumper of the other vehicle. The distance is computed and then displayed on your screen, measured in seconds.

Lane Keep Assist

When it's dark or you're feeling tired, you might not realize you're drifting toward the lane boundaries. This can be dangerous, as unintentionally entering another lane could result in an accident if a vehicle is already in that lane. This system uses a small camera to identify the lane line markings and help keep you centered in your lane.

If the system identifies you're about to leave your lane, it gently tugs your steering wheel in the direction of the lane center. This warns you to steer back into your lane and prevent a possible accident.

Forward Collision Alert

This feature uses radar and a camera to identify any vehicle ahead. The radar measures the distance from the other vehicle, compares that to your speed, and determines if there's an accident risk. If you're too close, you receive visual and audio warnings, alerting you to potential danger so you can prevent it. Warning tone and frequency increase if you continue to close.

Automatic Emergency Braking

This system complements the collision warning above. If you've been warned of an impending collision and haven't reacted yet, this feature will slow your vehicle or bring it to an instant stop to try and prevent a collision.
